Summer is over….

I will give you all a minute to let that sink in and to wipe the tears away. If you want me to make you feel better, summer isn’t actually over until the fall equinox on September 22nd. But enough about that, one great thing about fall is watching the leaves turn, the brisk weather and relaxing with a glass of wine to warm you up.

Now if you are a wine lover, I’ll bet you have wine racks at home to display your collection and since The Shelving Store is having an awesome sale on wine racks, it’s out with the old and in with the new. I know you are wondering, why would I throw away a perfectly good wine rack? That’s a great question but there are so many wonderful uses for your old racks that can add style to your home.

USE A WINE RACK AS A TOWEL HOLDER IN YOUR BATHROOM

Most wine racks are big enough to hold towels when they are rolled up and our Bamboo Lotus 8 bottle wine rack works perfectly. And just so you know, bamboo is sustainable and looks great in the bathroom, especially when you have other bamboo bathroom shelving.

TAKE YOUR OLD WINE RACK AND CREATE A BOOKCASE

This may not work with all wine racks but our Kingston Stackable wine cube can make this happen. And because it is stackable, you can create a bookcase all your own. Just to give you an idea of what the wine rack bookcase would look like, check out the picture below. Not to mention, that most of our wine racks can also work to hold magazines and even organize mail.

USE AN OLD WINE RACK AS A SPICE RACK

This is a very simple, yet genius idea. It will work no matter what size you have, from the small spice containers to the big ones. If you want to get even more creative, you can take some old glass coke bottles and pour your spices into them to give a more refined look. The elegant style of a wine rack can give that extra touch your kitchen counter needs with an updated spice rack. Our Wine Arch 12 bottle wine rack would be the perfect size to use too.

These three creative ideas are only the tip of the iceberg, there are plenty of more ways to transform a wine rack, you just have to use your imagination and think outside the box. Until next week, have a great weekend.
