With Halloween less than two weeks away, it’s time to start decorating for the goolish night. Many people decorate the outside of their homes with carved pumpkins and elaborate gory scenes but decorating the inside is just as important. Here are few simple tricks to set the tone for Halloween and give your family and friends some viewing treats.
PUMPKINS ON SHELVES…BEWARE
Turn your bookcase into a festive Halloween scene using pumpkins, a little imagination and paint. Pick an array of pumpkins and paint them to mimic a tree or you can paint witches flying through the sky. The best part about this is that your pumpkins are safe from those pesky squirrels who love their taste.
¬†DECORATIVE SHELVES FOR SCARES…OH MY
We all have at least one in our home, a decorative shelf that is and Halloween is the perfect time to put a horrific touch on your shelves. Below is just a modern example of a chic Halloween decor in your home. It’s very easy to put your own touch on it too. Get some spider webs, a few skulls, crows and food coloring for potions and you can create your own design.
JACK O’ LANTERNS ON WIRE SHELVING…WHAT A FRIGHT
Design an inviting message for trick-or-treaters using carved pumpkins and wire shelving. Find some small pumpkins and pencil on the message you want to write, such as Trick or Treat. Then use a drill to quickly make the holes to create each letter. A 14″d wire shelving unit with three shelves would be perfect for this. You can use this display outside with candles or you can put this in your window and use Christmas tree lights.
Decorating can be easy and fun with a little helping hand, now only if finding a costume was this easy.
