In this day in age with a recovering economy, reusing your old items can save you a lot of money. Or at least find an inexpensive way to create imaginative home decor.

With an ode to Pinterest, who has established themselves as a go-to for getting creative, look at this great idea for storing crafts or even your spices using shelves.

Just take two grid shelves and zip-tie them at the corners using spools and attach to wall.

A local restaurant down the street from our showroom has skateboard shelves to store condiments on. This is so easy to construct, all you need is your kids old skateboards.

Just purchase an "L" shaped bracket, attach to bottom of board and mount to wall.

With Nooks, E-Readers and iPads slowing replacing paperback books, everyone is bound to have stacks of old books that they don't use anymore. So instead of recycling them, create a bookshelf using books!!!

Such a simple idea from the site Not Tom, all you need is secondhand books, a metal rod and bookshelf brackets.
