Mother Of The Year Receives Closet Renovation

Author:

Shelving Inc has participated in The Oakland Press Mother Of The Year contest since 2014. Each year, Oakland County residents are asked to nominate their mothers on Facebook and explain why they deserve a shelving makeover from us. The nomination that receives the most likes wins, and this year Linda Prosser of Waterford was the lucky winner!

When the contest first started, Linda’s daughter Brittany, who nominated her, said “She has the drive that you long for, the motivation to do anything she puts her mind to. She is the most thoughtful, caring, outspoken individual I know. Talk about an inspiration, especially to women.” And she’s right, Linda has run a day care out of her home for 21 years and has raised 5 children of her own.

Linda chose for a closet makeover in her bedroom. Before, she described her closet as “very cramped and messy” and was in need of an upgrade.

Our Operations Manager, Michele, received Linda’s closet dimensions and designed the perfect layout to maximize the space. Michele chose to use freedomRail shelving for the closet because of their versatility. Each shelf can be easily adjusted to fit more or less, yet they are durable and strong.

Now, Linda has plenty of room to organize her clothing and shoes so everything is easy to find and in order. She is using o-boxes to store handbags and accessories, while her shoes are kept track of on mounted shelves. Best of all, she now has room to fit more clothes! Who doesn’t want that? And if she ever needs more space in the future, additional shelves are easy to add on.

Linda was very grateful for the closet makeover and said it has made a huge difference in both her home and life. Now that her closet is organized, it has inspired her to keep organizing until each room in her home has reached it’s full potential. We’re so happy we could help!

Congratulations, Linda! You earned it.
